Your First Visit
Before your complimentary consultation, please print and fill out our health history form and bring it in with you or fill it out and submit it online. Photos of your face and teeth will also be taken at this appointment. The Orthodontist will conduct a thorough examination and discuss potential treatment options. This visit will give insight into your orthodontic needs, so the doctor and the treatment coordinator can address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment.
Orthodontic records (x-rays and study models) are taken to confirm the orthodontist's diagnosis and to have a baseline before treatment is started. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care. During this appointment, the financial contract will be signed and initial payment will be made. Regular Appointments The appointment when you get your appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) usually takes from one to two hours. You’ll then see us at regular intervals 6 to 8 weeks apart for an adjustment, which takes 20 to 40 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Cancel only if it is an emergency. It is difficult to reschedule you since most appointments are made 6 to 8 weeks in advance. Office Hours Our office hours are listed below: North Bend Hours: Wednesday, 8am-6:30pm Friday, 8am-5pm Snoqualmie Ridge Hours: Tuesday, 8am -5pm Thursday, 8am-5pm Maple Valley Hours: Tuesday, 8am-6:30pm Wednesday, 8am-5pm Thursday, 8am-5pm Friday, 8am-5pm Payment & Office Policies Cost The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient’s problem. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We have payment plans to suit different budgets. We also accept assignment from most insurance plans and we will file the necessary papers to the insurance company. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable. Fees In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:
If you have insurance, we will help you to determine the coverage you have available. We ask that you assign your insurance benefit to us. The balance will be arranged for you to pay (see above). Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is responsible to the patient and the patient is responsible to the doctor. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf. Medical Reimbursement Accounts If you have a “flex spending account”, please be aware that you are responsible for managing this type of account. We will give you the information needed to submit to your plan and we recommend that you take some time to learn about your plan and its limitations. For example, some do not let you pay orthodontics in full. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf. |
