Invisalign® treatment is a successful way of finally achieving the smile of your dreams. However, the only way you can have a convenient and positive orthodontic experience is by keeping your Invisalign aligner in pristine condition.

To help you take good care of your aligner, our Kirby Nelson Orthodontics team encourages you to do the following things:

-Rinse your aligner as soon as you remove it. If you don’t, the dry saliva and plaque will create a perfect breeding ground for foul-smelling bacteria.

-Soak your aligner in denture cleaner, Retainer Brite, or the official Invisalign crystals to keep your aligner clear and sanitized.

-Clean your smile before you reinsert your aligner. You can clean your chompers by brushing and flossing. This is very important because it helps prevent tooth decay and it also helps you maintain strong and healthy teeth.

-Clean your aligner with clear, antibacterial soft soap. This product is a great option that can keep your aligner clear, fresh, and free from bacteria.

-Brush your aligner gently. If you brush it too hard, it will scratch the aligner and leave noticeable etchings, which will take the “invisibility” out of your appliance.
